能源議題是21世紀人類所要面臨的重大挑戰之一，無論是能源安全或環境安全都已成為國際各國考量的第一順位。RSC將於2008年5月推出一本專門探討能源轉換與儲存、替代能源科技、環境科學等領域的新期刊，希望提供研究者一個開放交流研究結果的園地，以連結多種與能源和環境相關領域之研究成果。
